Juventus Academy Ghana has demonstrated its commitment to supporting local football talent in Ghana by awarding a full scholarship to a promising nine-year-old Ghanaian goalkeeper. Kelvin Quashie, a talented goalkeeper from SMAC Football Academy, has been selected as the beneficiary of this scholarship, marking the beginning of Juventus Academy Ghana’s efforts to empower young athletes in Ghana.
Kelvin Quashie’s journey to Juventus Academy Ghana began when he caught the attention of academy scouts during the Ghana Academy Top League games, where both teams were participating. His exceptional form, remarkable saves, and quick reflexes impressed the scouts, leading to his selection for the scholarship.
In the words of Kwadwo Asamoah, the technical lead of Juventus Academy Ghana and former Juventus and Black Stars midfielder, “We are thrilled to be able to support local talent and foster a culture of excellence in Ghanaian football.
