The 2nd edition of the GAL League, organized by Juventus Academy Ghana, came to a thrilling close on 23rd May 2026, leaving behind months of exciting football, growth, and unforgettable moments for young players across Accra.
The league brought together four competitive academies: Juventus Academy Ghana, KaslandCity Legacy Soccer Academy, Elite Football Club, and SMAC SC. Over 16 weeks, the teams battled across four age categories:
Pulcini: Ages 6–8
Giovanissimi: Ages 9–11
Allievi: Ages 12–14
Primavera: Ages 15–18
Each category delivered intense matches that tested skill, teamwork, and resilience. The competition was designed not just to crown winners, but to give every player valuable game time and a platform to improve.
SMAC SC emerged as champions in the Pulcini category, while KaslandCity Legacy Soccer Academy dominated the remaining divisions, claiming the titles in Giovanissimi, Allievi, and Primavera.
The final day was made even more special by the presence of former Black Stars and Juventus player Mr. Kwadwo Asamoah. He presented the trophies to the winning teams and shared words of encouragement with the players, urging them to stay disciplined, work hard, and keep chasing their dreams of playing at the highest level.
The GAL League was created to give young, talented players consistent competitive exposure and to raise the standard of youth football in Ghana. For Juventus Academy Ghana, the tournament is more than a competition—it’s a development pathway.
With another successful edition completed, Juventus Academy Ghana looks forward to expanding the league and continuing to provide a platform where talent meets opportunity.
